What exactly IS the scene they show in between commercials for 8 is Enough ? You know , the one where it will have what looks like a baseball diamond taken from an airplane & across the top is the writing " Eight is Enough " ? What is that????
It's a still from the original opening credits of the pilot episode. It began w/ aerials of the playing fields in which the Bradfords were playing football against the Maxwells. The first scene of the show continued with the aerials and then moved on to Tom & Max singing the National Anthem. It seems odd to me that they'd choose that to show during the commercial break and not the pyramid or something that happened more than once.
It IS very odd that they'd use that. I wish they would've picked the pyramid too, or maybe just a shot of the house or something. But that arial shot makes zero sense.
I agree the pyramid would be more familiar, but I've always wondered about the pyramid. Why? I mean, my family was always doing that, wasn't yours? Yeah right.
sure, my family did it, but only when the cameras were rolling!!
Do you remember when the show air originally in the 80's they used " The Football Huddle " as their filler between commercials.......As far as doing things in real life as the Bradford's did..How many of us could get a family of 9 to actually all be free to play football against the Maxwell's????? What a scheduling nightmare!!!
Re: getting a family of 9 together for touch football- The chances of all 5 girls in the family actually liking the sport is slim enough! I'm not trying to be stereotypical, but it is a valid point.
Maybe they were trying to be like the Kennedys. I think they had to quit using the football huddle because of the hair color changes.
I've been wondering about that too. I always try to figure out what's in the picture but they don't leave it on the screen long enough. I keep trying to figure out what that is at the left of the screen, is it supposed to be an arial view of their house?
